We also use it with TV network websites and a few video games. We are enjoying the Media Center with our 42 inch Vizio TV. I did a RESTORE back to when it was working and performance returned. I don't know what was sucking up all the performance. It cleaned 50 "registry errors" and my smooth TV performance resumed. I ran a registry cleaner demo just for laughs. A week later I experienced performance issues where Media Center could not keep up with the realtime TV signal, stuttering and hanging. I uninstalled the ENE driver, making sure to also remove the files.ħ/25/13: Media Center worked great after I removed the MSI GX-330 ENE CIR driver. This was causing confusion in the WIndows Media Center software. I noticed there were two eHome devices in the Device Manager. The MSI GX-330 has a "ENE CIR" IR receiver on the motherboard for remote control of the notebook. I am sure the one I sent back was OK because I found the actual sneaky problem. Same problem occurred and Windows Media Center would not find the eHome device. I got an exchange for a new unit from Amazon. After that got resolved the Azend IR blaster seemed to quit working. I had it all setup and then had a HDMI audio issue. It will be used much like a TIVO to record scheduled programming off my Comcast cable.

Playready should install and inform you that you can now view and record protected content.ħ/8/13: I bought a 2nd Azend Media Kit to use with an older MSI notebook on my living room TV setup. Start Windows Media Center - Tasks - Settings - TV - TV Signal. Go back to Programs and Features and uninstall Playready. Go to Control Panel - Programs and Features - Turn Windows Features On and Off. After trying numerous fixes from internet forums I finally found a simple one that works.

I have never had this happen with PCs I built and installed Windows 7 or 8 clean. This causes some kind of corruption with the Playready installation. The condition is probably the same with any factory built PC/laptop that is delivered with a factory built OS image.

I had this happen with Windows 7 and Windows 8 on new HP laptops I bought in the last year. Here is a tip for those experiencing problems with Windows Media Center setup when Playready will not complete an update. The Azend kits works great with Windows 7 and Windows 8. I could never get the Pinnacle to work with the Comcast DTA but the Azend works perfectly and I really like the remote. It has worked so much better than the Pinnacle even when that was new. I bought the Azend Media Kit to replace my Pinnacle kit that failed last year.
